For this project I designed Neu Psychedelia, a brand new font, taking it from the sketching phase to vector graphics, to load it on Fontlab and make it a usable font you could install on Windows and Mac. Neu Psychedelia is a font that dances on the edges of time, blending psychedelic nostalgia with contemporary flair.
Inspired by the 60’s psychedelic posters, Its smooth curves are reminiscent of a kaleidoscopic journey. Unlike most psychedelic fonts, Neu Psychedelia pairs swirl-like curves with a consistent flat top and bottom throughout all letters giving it a cleaner look and a sense of balance and harmony. For the collateral I built a lightbox to make a backlit poster showcasing each letter in the font.
