"Theophile's Special: Kumquat Quiche, French Pistu Pasta, Fresh Croissant"
3/4" MDF, Gesso, Acrylic Paint.

Inspired by the important role of the picnics and dinners held at Vizcaya for James Deering's guests, Marlon decided to make the food served at these events the center of this series. These sculptures represent an abstraction of the flavor of three dishes referenced in the historical archives of Vizcaya. The series intends to allow the viewer to experience these dishes in a different sensory way through form, color, and scent.

This series, exhibited in May's Vizcayas late event, culminated my time at Vizcaya's CAP LAB led and guided by New World School of the Arts professor and artist @donlambert. I am grateful to have been part of this experience.
